2023年8月30日，马来西亚万福佛学会成功举办了《佛欢喜日盂兰盆法会》。在这特殊的日子，我们共同诵读《佛说盂兰盆经》，通过供僧和供养法会，为自己和他人积累无边的功德。
盂兰盆节的由来与目犍连尊者的孝心息息相关，他为了报答父母的养育之恩，用天眼观察世界，发现母亲因造恶业而堕落饿鬼道中。经过佛陀的指引，目犍连尊者得知如何通过供僧来为母亲积累功德，从而使她脱离饿鬼道的痛苦。
感谢百位前来参加的信众，与我们一同诵经、供僧及供养，为自他累积无边的功德，将善行回向祖先及父母，愿现世父母福乐延年，七世父母蒙无量功德，得究竟安乐。

On August 30, 2023, the Malaysia Ban Foo Buddhist Organisation successfully held the Buddha‘s Rejoice Day Ullambana Puja. On this special day, we collectively recited the “Ullambana Sutra” and through the offering to the Sangha and the Puja, accumulated boundless merits for ourselves and others.
The origin of the Ullambana Festival is closely related to the filial piety of Maudgalyayana. To repay the kindness of his parents, he used his divine eye to observe the world and found that his mother had fallen into the hungry ghost realm due to her evil deeds. With the guidance of the Buddha, Maudgalyayana learned how to accumulate merits for his mother through Sangha offerings, allowing her to escape the suffering of the hungry ghost realm.
We are grateful to the hundred participants who joined us to recite sutras, offer to the Sangha, and make offerings together. Together, we accumulated boundless merits for ourselves and others, dedicating our good deeds to our ancestors and parents, wishing for their happiness, longevity, and ultimate peace and happiness in this world and the next.
